Hello,

I attended my visa interview on may 24th It was a long day.

They verfied all the documents finally asked me to write a sworn statement and sign infront of the visa officer.

The visa officer said "The visa can be apporved but it will take 5days".

Today is 10th day I was checking the status in vfs site its still showing passport under process in consulate.I inquired with VFS they are not giving prompt response.

Today I called the consulate chennai helpline they said the case is under PIMS verfication process.I asked them the tentative date but they refused to say it.

Im very nervous I have no hope....

Please kindly advise.

Any suggestions/comments will be helpful.

From where you got the consulate help-desk number?
Please provide I wil also try calling them. Mine was in Hyderabad location.

I am also sailing on the same boat, No case number provided and not getting relevant responses on call or mail.

If it is just PIMS verification, then it will take about 2-3 weeks. But if the case has gone into admin process, then it take take months. Search and read the posts on PIMS, 221g / admin processing.
