I hope someone can help me with my situation. I had been working with company X for 9 months on h1. But a couple of months back in Jan 2005, I stopped working for them but was on leave of absence with them till March 2005. In April 2005 I applied for my H4. I got queried back to prove that I was in valid status till that time. But I got to know that my employer filed an application for withdrawl of my h1 on 17th March 2005 but do not have the confirmation about the revocation yet. I am unsure of my status right now. I had read at a couple of places abt the grace period of 10 days....but i am not sure if that is valid. DOes any1 know how things work out like that?? Or any1 had experience where there was a time gap between change of status.... Appreciate all the help..
