H4 visa interview for child under 7

Anyone has a recent experience of H4 interview for child under 7 years?

Looks like there is a recent change (from May 11 2012), any child below 7 is not required to attend interview.
But then it says, visa is not guaranteed for applicants not coming in person

Anyone been through this situation?

I will need to schedule an appointment for myself, my wife and 3 yr child.

Hi there, My wife and daughter(under 7yrs) are attending H4 tomorrow in HYD...I know there is waiver for kids but in my case we are really short on time, so I took an appointment for my daughter as well just like for my wife as we cannot afford if they ask her to bring back for finger printing or something.

I will let you know by tomorrow, how it goes..They are going together. Hopefully there wont be any issues. check for my reply tomorrow on this.

hi travel2usa, just wanted to let u know that my wife and daughter (6.5 yrs old) completed their H4 stamping successfully just now in HYD. no one asked about kid or interview waiver...I just took appt for my kid also along with my wife. did not use interview waiver and she had no issues. so I think u can do as per ur situation.
