who need to provide the documents for L2 holders when they apply for GC

Say if company ABC issued L1B for my husband and so I am on L2 with EAD. I am working for XYZ Company. I am willing to spend the whole payment for GC who needs to provide the documents? Is it the ABC Company?
Or
Is it XYZ Company?Or
Can I apply directly with the help of the lawyer without the knowledge of the ABC or XYZ Company?
