h1 transfer

hi all,
i'm currently on h1b visa and i'm planning to move to a different company who is willing to do h1 transfer. my question is:
what will be my status in case my new h1 is not approved or if there is an rfe?

It depends on when you are planning to join the new employer. If you are planing to join them after the H1B transfer, then no issues. You will remain to be in valid H1B status. If you join them on just the receipt notice and if the transfer gets rejected later, then you will go out of status.
