H4 to F1 query
Hi,
I'll travel to US on H4 on Sept, 2012. I plan to do M.S on 2013. I'll start my MS on H4 visa. Later, after 1 semester I would like to change my visa to F1.
I have a few queries on that
1. If I plan to change my visa from H4 to F1 in the second sem , then when should I start the process?
2. I heard that if I transfer my visa from H4 to F1 after I join the college, I don't need to come back to India for stamping immediately. I can do that whenever I come to India for vacation. Is it true? If no, then please suggest me when it is the best to change my visa from H4 to F1.
PS : I do not want to continue my studies with H4 visa. I have to get it changed to F1
