H1B Stamping in London Embassy Got 221(g) white form, and requested passport same day

Hi Every one,

I have attended my H1B stamping in London US embassy on 13-Aug-12.

Here goes my Conversation with visa officer .

Me: Good Morning How r u?

VO : Good morning I am fine.

VO: How long have you been in Great Britain.

Me: Almost 3 years(HSMP) visa.

Vo: To whom are you working in England

Me: I was working for ABC company

VO: How did you come to know about this company?

Me: After completing my Contract with ABC company I have applied in- - - - - ( she did not listen to me what I am saying)

VO: what is your Educational Background?

Me: YYYY X

VO- To my spouse: When were you married?

My spouse: Its been Xxxx.

VO: Can you show your marriage certificate?

My Spouse: Shown.

VO: How long have you been working with this company(US employer)?

Me: I said this is my new job.

VO : she went inside and talked to someone and came back to us saying that we did not receive your documents from USCIS. I am not able to process your visa. and given white form(221g) with batch number to track the case in London Embassy web site.

Me: I said I have all the documents, can I show?

VO: no we have to receive the documents from USCIS.


The VO did not see /ask any other documents except my Marriage certificate.

She has given our passports and white form stating 221(g). She kept My I797B and DS-160 confirmation page.

I Came out of the embassy with lot of Disappointment

After 10 mins of my interview I got an E-mail to send the passports to embassy for processing.
But I have checked My E-mail after coming back to home.
My case was not updated in the website even after a week.
I have sent my passport to the embassy next day of my interview through courier.
Did anyone have the same experience?
What are the chances to get my visa ASAP??

Hi Padma: I hope you're doing good in US (must be)...I'm in Great Britain on ICT - Long Term staff for an employer from last December'12, now I also want to go for my H1-B stamping in London US Consulate. So can you please guide me with some questions mentioned below:

1- What is the process of Stamping in London US Consulate?
2- Does the US Consulate people asks lots of questions or grill the beneficiary at the time of Visa Interview?
3- I'm going to be a FTE (full time employee) of my petitioner in US so what would be possibility of getting the visa?
