I came to the US for a Ph.D but had to switch to a Master's degree. Before I completed Master's, I got a job offer, which I'd applied with my Bachelor's degree only. My employer sponsored my H1-B and it has been approved to go into effect on 1st October 2012. I have OPT until 30th Sep 2012. Since my degree is not complete, I was told by the University that my SEVIS will be terminated 30th Sep 2012 for 'otherwise maintaining to fail status'. Will my H1-B be revoked due to this? Please advise

Dont say "PhD, oh...wait Masters....oh no wait....Bachelors. "------------------------
I reply with my experience and not from any legal perspective.
