    hi,
i m new to this forum,i m doing my usmle,i heard getting in US as a researcher is easy now ,is it true?

    Hi,
I am going for my usmle too. It is hard to find a sponsor for
a research position sitting outside US unless you have a research
background. But it is possible if you try from within US.

if your intention is getting a green card as a researcher then there are couple of options. Researchers can self-petition for i-140 without a sponsor via EB1A or EB2 NIW. I self-petitioned in 2005 and got my GC approved. I used an example petition now available at greencardforphd.com

        Need advise

I am in 4th year OBGYN resident in New york, my resident is going to over by this july,09. After that my boss said he is going to offer research position as ECRIP basis. Right now, I am in EAD while my GC was in progress and it can be approve at any time.

My HR fellow is saying that, in order to get money from ECRIP will be required Green Card holders ..Is that true ...Could you please tell me about this one.

ECRIP” (Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program) grant is required below requirements for this research for US citizens, US nationals, or permanent residents of the US.

Do we have to have physical card of permanent residents of the US or if EAD is enough while my GC was progress.

        I will appreciate your help.
