I was greencard holder and recently got Citizenship on May-20, so they took my greencard back.
Citizenship process took longer than expected and in the meantime I did make travel arrangement to visit india on June-1.
Now problem is, I have very few days left during which I have to get my passport and then get Indian visa from Indian Consulate/Embassy which seems very difficult and at the same time, I do not want to cancel my TKT as I have to pay very heavy cancellation charge.
In this scenario, I have below two questions.
Q-1: Does anyone know that we can still visit to India on currently holding valid Indian passport (considering that just became US citizen 3 days ago on May-20).
If I will go to India, would that be a problem in coming back to US since I have only USCIS issued citizenship certificate but no US passport.
Q-2: If I do get passport quickly, what is the fastest way to get Indian visa??
Appreciate your input.
