My name in old passport had the spelling Preeti and when I applied for Reissue of passport after expiry of my old passport,the passport issuing authority cross checked my SSC memo in which My name spelling is Preethy. And they changed my spelling even though my old passport was also issued after I completed SSC. Now I had travelled to US and other countries with my old passport and even filed Tax returns. Now if I travel to US on my new passport with the name PREETHY will it be a problem. However there is no change in surname.
