I am on H4 visa. I am in a dysfunctional relationship with my spouse. I am planning to legally separate from my husband. Meanwhile there is a US citizen who is interested in settling down with me & I too like this person. What is the procedure to legally settle down with this person who is a US citizen as soon as I will be out of the current H4 status (after I am legally separated from my spouse ?
