Last Name not present in Child's Passport

Hi All,

I have a query regarding my Daughter's passport.

I am on L1A Visa currently in US. My GC is to filed in next 2-3 months.
My daughter is on L2 Visa currently in US.
Her passport does not have the last name. Her L2 Visa is also stamped with the same issue.

Now her Passport is due for renew. So I have few questions regarding this situation :
1) Should I renew the passport as is without the last name again and continue the same for GC also?
2) Or should I add the last name in the passport. What impact does it have on her current L2 Visa? Also what impact does it have on her GC filing?

Request help from the forum mates.
