I have DOB in my school records, passport, etc as 07/15/1961. Based on that DOB, all my US records (SSN, etc) mention the same DOB.
My birth certificate from the Municipality (my place of birth) shows that I was born 06/03/1962, which is actually correct. In the earlier days, some parents used to admit their kids early in the school declaring some false date. I have become a victim now for my parents' deliberate mistake.
What should I do now? Can I declare birth certificate (06/03/1962) as new evidence? If I declare the new evidence, whether INS will question all my previous records based on the old DOB? I am trying to understand the repercussion.
I feel that my company lawyer has not really understood my situation and the anxiety I am having. He seems to be taking my case as an experiment and I have been lucky by God's grace to get the DOL and I-140 cleared on merits of my employer company.
Alternately, I can forego the new evidence and stick to old DOB and get declaration/affidavit signed.
GC Gurus, Please advise me and share your experience.
Thanks in advance.
