My wife is 5 months pregnant. Both my wife's and my step son's 1-130 have been approved by the USCIS and sent to the NVC for processing. I've submitted the I-864s and other documents to the NVC. As I understand it, once the NVC receives everything, there is a minimum 2 month processing time before their final interview at the Nairobi Embassy is scheduled. This means that it's likely that, by the time she gets her visa, my wife will be too far along in her pregnancy to be able to fly, and will most likely give birth in Kenya. If that happens, once she and the baby are able to travel again, will she be able to bring our new born child with her, or will we have to go through the entire application process again to get a visa for our new born before we can bring her into the USA?

What happens if my wife gives birth in Kenya after she gets her green card?

If you are a U.S.citizen, the child will have to go through the "CRBA" Embassy requirements for your paternity to be recognized and his U.S. passport to be applied for.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, the child will be eligible for a derivative child visa, but a medical exam, fee payment and new paperwork will be have to be completed to meet the Embassy requirements.
