I am on L1 A visa . Recently went to SSA office to get my SSN done. In my passport, Visa, I94 my first and last name is updated correctly. But the SSA office , while filling the application after asking questions she told that, my last name is wrongly updated in one of the Immigration record. I asked her repeatedly on which system , the answer which the officer gave me is the Immigration record. I don't know which immigration record, because in all my documents, its is rightly updated.
The officer had tried updating (send a request to update it) from her side and asked me to wait for 3 - 4 weeks to see if approval or denial happens.
I checked with my employer immigration team, they had asked me to get in touch with CBP office. I am in a dilemma whether I should go to CBP or USCIS.
For USCIS, I am trying to make the infopass appointment for the last 1 week with no luck.
Please guide me on this situation.
