Registration of apartment - US citizen - NRI with OCI in progress

Folks, I have a question on registration of an apartment by NRI US Citizens.

We bought an apartment in India while we were indian citizens. We will soon be US citizens and our OCI cards will not be ready by the time we have to travel to India for registration. We have to travel to India with India Visa.

Appreciate if any of you could provide advise and guidance needed in registering home in India. Any additional documents, RBI approvals needed etc?
