Trying to help a friend stay in U.S.

To anyone who can help me, I have a friend of mine who has been in US for 8-9 years on an H2A work program. He is required to return to Mexico after period ends. But he remained here because he was such an asset to the company. He has been illegal for 2-3 years now and I would love to help him to stay legally. He is truly an asset to his company and could not be replaced. He has a drivers license and ss#, is there anything that I can do to help him.
