Travelling to India after Oath ceremony

Oath ceremony has been scheduled for both my husband and myself next week. His mother is really unwell and we might have to travel to India soon. I know we should not use Indian passport to enter India after Oath. We will apply for US passports right after the oath. But how do we enter India? Even though we will apply for OCI soon after but it will take a few months to come. Someone told me that entry visas are easily available on arrival in India now. Has anyone faced similar situation?

Definitely, do not travel on an Indian passport after your Oath.
