[EB1] Switch jobs before I-140/ I-485 approval

I filed my EB-1 application in June 2016 and am awaiting approval on the I-140 and I-485. I understand the regulations with respect to staying with the current employer for 18-24 months after approval. Does anyone know about regulations before the approval? Am i allowed to switch employers now i.e. before approval? There is a great opportunity that came up, feel like i'm missing out due to not knowing enough!

There are no 18-24 month requirements pre/post approval. So the question after approval is moot. However, if you filed under EB1B/EB1C, obviously you cannot change jobs prior to approval. EB1A on the other-hand does not need an employment offer/employer, so change of employer is irrelevant.
