Leaving to India w/o I-485 receipt. Can it be mailed to India?

Hi,
I'm leaving to India for a month immediately after applying I485.
For instance I'm filing 485 on July 1st and leaving to India on July 22nd.Hope I'll receive the receipt by that time as I heard that it takes 2 weeks to get a receipt.

Just in case if i didn't receive my 485 receipt by that time, will I still travel without it?

And in the meantime my husband will mail me the 485 receipt to India so that i can use it on my return to US.

Is this possible? Please advice.

You cannot....

You cannot use 485 receipt notice to re-enter US. either you need a valid visa or an advance parole(I131)

I have valid visa that expires on Oct 1, 2007.

By that time it gets expires I'll be back.

My doubt is will going out of US after filing 485 will be a problem?
