regarding police clearance

Could you help me on this?

I am an Indian citizen. I have been in Africa from 1990 to 1995 ---Now i am in qatar. I have filed to immigrate to the U.S and now should get the police clearance certificates. is it enough if i get it from the embassy in Qatar or should i travel to these countries. please help me
