I am an Engineering Graduate [B. E. (Mech.)]. I am holding a passport issued by Ahmedabad office and the same is expiring in 2012.
The passport does not have ECNR stamp on it. I have secured a managerial job in Muscat (Oman). Now that the Emigration check is removed altogether from the new passports, I would like to know what is the status of my passport for migrating to Oman for the Job? What should I expect from the officer at the Emigration counter at the Mumbai Airport? Do I have to get the ECNR stamp on my passport? If so how do I go about it to get it done urgently?
