  • Please tell me what is the meaning of class A or B (TB) Req. Attn. of USPHS at POE.

I am a US citizen. I sponsored my mother and he got his immigrant visa in India, last week. When he got his medical done in India, the doctor has noted that he has "Inactive TB" .

To confirm that there's an annotation on the Immigrant visa that reads : class A or B (TB) Req. Attn. of USPHS at POE.

Please tell me what is the meaning of class A or B (TB) Req. Attn. of USPHS at POE.

Any procedure in the port of entry for that please tell.

    we are very worried now.

    Regards

United States Public Health Services (http://www.usphs.gov/)

They WILL perform some tests/exams and special registration on her at the POE.

"U.S. immigration law requires applicants who plan to relocate permanently to the United States to have a medical evaluation prior to entering the country. The purpose of mandated screening is to deny entry to those persons who have communicable diseases of public health import, physical or mental disorders associated with harmful behavior, addiction to drugs, or are likely to become wards of the state"

      Thanks for prompt reply.

In the Bnotification.pdf, nothing procedure will done at POE.

In the Bnotification.pdf, USPHS will call within 5 business days after reciving the notification and arrange for the immigrant to come into the health department and/or arrange for the patient to see a private provider.

So please tell me, at the port of entery any procedure will done.
In that case, will any charge (fees).

Please reply me of all para.

      Thanking you.
