A friend of mine became a U.S. citizen about a year ago and promptly filed Petition for Alien Relative ( Form I-130) on behalf of both her alien parents. The parents have recently been admited as LPRs. The parents have minor
children in Afghanistan.
My friend does not have a copy of the petitions she filed for her parents and so does not know for sure whether the minor children were listed on page two
of the I-130 as they should have been.
So, here is my question. If the minor children were listed on the I-130, wouldn't they have been given immigrant visas and LPR status based upon the petitions for their parents? Or, even if they were listed, would separate
petitions been required for each of them?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
