Passport validity

Not sure if this is the right forum but I did not really find any other forum to put this to.
I am planning to go to india in the next 2 days and would be coming back by 8/1. Only today I realized that my Indian passport is expiring on 9/7. I have a green card.

Could anyone let me know if this would be an issue coming back into the US?? Is there a stipulation for the passport being valid for a minimum time? Any help would be highly appreciated.

I'm i the same situation. I'll be travelling to India soon and my passport will expire 4 months after my return date of travel to US. I also have a green card. Please let me know about your experience.

you'll be fine as long as you come back before your passport expires. When I came back mine had only 15 days left, but I was fine. Just make sure that you don't come back on an expired passport.

If you have a GC, your passport doesn't matter. Techically, you don't even need the passport to enter the US (although I always show mine.)
People with non-immigrant visas need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months.

i have got the same problem... does anyone has more recent info on it.
