I came to the USA nine years when my father got transfer because of his job. I came here with a H-2 visa so my mother and my younger brother. My Father got a L-1 visa. The company that my Father works for hired a lawyer and started the process of green card for the whole family. Its been about 4 years since the process got started. I am currently 22 years old and I am attending to a University for a BA in Engineering. Two years ago my family and I had to take physical exams and went to some place to take fingerprints and stuff. Last year we got the work permit and with that my social security number, but not my green card. Now the real issue is that I am getting marry in May of this year with an american citizen (not for the papers of course since I am getting them on my own), I am scared that is I get married before I get my green card I might mess the process up and I will have to start all over again where this time my fiance will have to help me fix it, and spend more money on a lawyer. help please I need advice
