I have been living in the US for the past 10 years. About 6 years ago I got married to a US citizen and we went through the GC process everything was normal but we had trouble and we decided to get divorced. It has been over 3 and half years since we got divorced. I met a girl recently in India and I fell in love with her. She knows about my prior marriage and divorce so does her parents. We knew each other back when we I was living in India. Everything seems smooth except for the process I have to take to bring her over here.
Considering the wait times if we get married and apply for her paperwork in India I was thinking if she comes to the US on a F-1 visa on her own after which we can get married and I can apply for I-130/I-485. Is that the best way to take?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
