how r u all doing?
need ur suggestion.
I am on H1B visa and will be going to usa on June 6Th.
I wish to rent an apt after I reach usa.

DO we need an SSN to rent an apt??
please let me know if you have an idea.

I cant get a SSN until it is 2-3 weeks after I land there.

Most properties managed by companies go through a background check and a credit check for which they need a SSN. Private individuals and smaller companies may let you rent without much restrictions. It all depends on whom you are renting from and the state laws.
