H1B or H4 which one to opt for

Hi,
I have 5 years of work experince and got my H1B approved. I got the visa processed through a consultant and my job assignment would only start from next year i.e.2010.
I am getting married in November2009. My fiance works in US on an H1B visa. I would be travelling to US in november2009, should I get my H1B stamped or should I apply for a dependent (H4) visa and get H1B stamped only after my job assignment starts? Please help.

Go for H4.

thanks for the quick reply. Would my H1B process of stamping be different after my marital status changes from single to married? I reside in India currently. Where should I get it(H1B) stamped from as I would be in the US on H4 visa by the time my job assignment needs my working visa.

You can get your status changed to H1 from H4 by your employer while in US.
