    Dear Sir / Madam,

Need help. I won dv lottery, immigrant visa is in my hand, have to travel within 6 months, but I still have school till end next year .

I am really serious about becoming a US green card holder, but I cannot abandon my current study.

I have 1 month off, planning to travel to the US, but after that I have to came back to school.

    1. Would that be a good idea, travel for 1 month, just to enter US, taking care of the green card then leave the US?

    2. How is the procedure for new immigrant ?

    3. If I could travel for 1 month, then have somebody send my green card, so that i can enter US once my school done. Would that be ok ?

Thank you for your time and please advice me on this matter. I am really confused. Any advice would be accepted, so that I could prepare myself.

Once again, Thank you Sir / Madam

Have you visited the US Embassy in The DR to apply for a visitor's visa for yourself and children? That would be your first step. Why havent you filed for a GC given your spouse is a US Citizen?
