I-601A with I-485

Does anyone know whether you can submit a i-601A when you have a pending I-485 case?

How about an i-290B? If you have a pending 290B and ultimately I-485, can you concurrently submit a i-601A in the next 1-2 months? I read somewhere that we cannot do that but just wanted to check with someone here.

Would there be any negative implications to applying for the i-601A concurrently while these others are processing?

That doesn't make sense. I-601A is only for people who are not eligible for I-485 (AOS). So are you eligible for AOS or not?
