Does anybody know if USCIS goes to USPS to collect the mail? I got a letter from USCIS requesting to send a few documents to the local office. However, the updates that I see in the USPS show that the item is ready for pickup, but I do not believe that USCIS ever go to the post office to get their correspondence. Any thoughts?

The USCIS doesn't pick up anything. This sounds like a generic response from USPS. I've seen this before and I don't think it means what it says. I think they use the phrase "ready for pickup" to mean that they've delivered it at the Lockbox facility. I suggest you give it a few more days before checking the status again or calling up USCIS.--Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
