I am US Citizen, staying in India temporarily due to COVID.
I came to India in Feb 2020 on e-visa and was stuck here since then due to my wife's pregnancy, lockdown, and new born baby etc. etc. I got extended to stay in India until now. I need to be in India for some more time. So i am trying to find out which one is the best option for me.
Option1: I was wondering if i can apply for OCI card from here, i see if i stay in India for more than 6 months, I could apply while being in India. Does anyone have experience in applying for OCI while in India ?
Or
Should i return back to US, and then apply from there?
Which one i faster? so that I can get the OCI card in hand quickly.
