Hi,
I tried to look for a similar situation in the forum, but couldn't find a parallel.
Here is my situation
1.
Working with a consulting company for a respected US bank as my client.
2.
Have an approved I-140 with EB2 India PD: feb 2009
3.
The first 6 years of H1 expired in 2010,and have an extn because of my I-140 till Jul 2013.
4.
The bank wants to hire me as Full term employee now,and says they will apply for a GC later this year.
My questions:
1.
I think I can convince my consulting company to continue my current GC.
Should i do it?Will it be useful?
2.
Via the bank's GC,my new I-140 may be approved sometime in late 2012.
Can I port the PD from my current GC then? Also, will the bank be able to file for further H1 extns?
3.
If some problem(layoff/visa transfer denial etc.) occurs with the bank,Can i rejoin my consulting company and carry on my current GC?
thanks
