I am wondering how strick the US is on deportation of illegal immigrants. someone I know (17yr old) was picked up by immigration for being in the country illegally. He is currently being detained while awaiting court. His family is also in the country illegally. They have been in the country for aprox 9yrs now. does the US usually deport someone (in this case back to mexico), or allow them to continue staying in the country. Any help on this would be appreciated
