  • Name on visa changed

Hello, I have a problem with the names in passport and my visa, but have been unable to find any solutions.

My full name is as follows:
    First: ABC
    Middle: DEF
    Last: GHI

But in my passport it is only listed like this:
    Given names: ABC DEF
    Last name: GHI

So when my visa got approved, it listed ABC DEF as my first name!! I asked the official about it and he said that's what the machine read from my passport, and said it should not be a problem. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this? I have read you should always write what is on your Visa, so does this mean I need to write ABC DEF for my first name from now on?

In our passport, there are only two fields for name. Given name and surname. Usually given name is a combination of first and all parts, except the last name and surname is the last name. Given name and surname is read as first name and last name by most other countries. In all official documents, you will need to mention what is there in your passport and visa, which in this case are same.

      That's fine.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
