Dependent(H4) Tax credit

Hi All,

I know that if a baby born before 23:59:59 PM 31st December in USA. He/She can be added as dependent in your Tax return for the same year.

But If you came in USA in month of August with your Son/Daughter then can he/she be added as dependent in your Tax return for the same year?

If no then what is the difference???

A child dependent have been in the U.S. 6 months or more during the taxable year to be claimed as a dependent.
