I am living in Memphis, Tennessee. Can anyone please let me know the best way to get ITIN for wife and kid, and hence the tax benefit ?

I don't know if what I am doing is the best way, but I'm going to HR Block with a Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA). The reason being if you submit the W-7 yourself, you have to send in your original identifying documents, like passport and birth certificate. If you submit the W-7 through a CAA, the CAA can verify the identifying documents, meaning you get to hold on to your original documents.Originally posted by Piyush1405 View Post2019/02/27 PD

ITIN Renewal - W7
My wife's ITIN expired on 31st Dec 2018. I am about to file W7. This is my scenario.
Stamped visa in the passport has already expired in 2016. My H1B expired in Jan 2019 and got the receipt for the H1B extension.
What Documents do I need to provide other than Passport?
