Hi,

This is my 2nd year for filing returns and me (H1b) and my son (Citizen) have SSN where as my wife (Dependant on me ie H4 ) has a ITIN number. Will my returns be qualified for the rebate.

I am told that ITIN is like the SSN for H4 visa holders . I am filing the returns jointly.

Please advice.

I think what he is saying is, that he is filing and assuming he is qualified to file and has a SSN heres what you can do "expertguy4u"(mm..o-k)

if you are filing married and jointly(i dont think so since ur wife doesnot have an income here) or single with your wife and kid as a dependent then YES, you will qualify for a rebate. dont forget to put yourself as head of household! and rebate was given for 2007 return if you dint claim it then, you can claim in on 2008 return...
and spend that rebate money...
