Need to file my 2008USTax returns and ITIN for my wife , while I am back to India now
I was working in NY on H1B visa (valid till 2011) throughout year 2008 and my wife accompanied with me on H4 visa. But currently we are back to India for good since my deputation got over in USA. I wanted to file my W2 and W7 (ITIN) for my wife over the internet. Given this scenario, while filling the form W7 for my wife, I have few questions
Question-1:
I was confused while selecting the option for "Reason you are submitting Form W-7?". Can someone clarify which option I should choose
e. Spouse of U.S. citizen/resident alien
g. Dependent/spouse of a nonresident alien holding a U.S. visa
Question-2:
To enter the visa number in the field 6C of the ITIN form, which number should I enter from my spouse's H4 visa page, is it the control number or the 8 digit number in red present just above the petition date?
