Paying U.S. taxes while abroad & tax credits?

A GC holder,
1. I am working outside the U.s.. How do I pay U.S. taxes for the salaries I earned?
2. How tax credit works for the above.

You have two tools at your disposal. One is the foreign earned income exclusion. The other is the foreign tax credit. You may take advantage of one or both of these depending on your tax sitution. The interplay between the two is complex, so you may want to consult your tax advisor.
