If I have investment properties in the USA I know I have to pay tax. If the properties are in a companies name do both the company and the onwer have to fill out tax returns.

It depends on the type of company holding the investment. If it is taxed as a "C" corporation then the company pays the tax. If it is a passthrough entity (you receive a K-1) then you pay the tax.
