  • Social Security Benefits for 75+

    Hello Everyone,
I wanted to ask, I sponsored my parents 75+ with the help of my husband as co sponsored, as I don’t work . They are on green card now .
my parents are living with us for more than a year now . There everything is done by us from lodging to commute, food everything.
now I wanted to ask that the things have changed my husband is unable to provide the financial support that he was providing . What are my parents rights in this case . Can they apply for SS BENEFITS? Will it effect their citizenship application or will it effect anything on my husband?

If your parents are 75+ and have a green card, they may be eligible for Social Security benefits if they've worked and contributed to the system. However, applying for benefits typically won't affect their citizenship application or your husband's status, but financial support changes could impact their eligibility for certain benefits.
