E3 visa delay

Hi all,

I recently had my E3 visa interview at the US Embassy in Sydney . I previously had a DUI on my record and therefore the officer told me that I need to get a medical assessment done from a panel physician. I have done this and it all went fine.

Now I am waiting for the Embassy to revisit my case. I have been calling them regularly and it is still pending review . It has been over two weeks since my interview and over a week since the embassy received my medical assessment.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation and experienced such delay for an E3 visa? Would anyone know how long this might actually take ?

Any help would be much appreciated.
