I worked for a Swedish company with an American office and they sponsored me with a E2. I was just laid off with my last day being 30th of September. Early October I'll go to Sweden for 2 weeks on vacation that I've planned and paid for months ago. I then want to return to the US to pack up my things and so on. My last day being 30th of September means that my visa (that was supposed to expire in December) now expires on the 30th of October. Can I apply for a B2 and fly in to the US before my E2 is expired?
I red that you could extend your E2. Since I'm Swedish, does it need to be a Swedish company with an US office or would an American company be able to take over the sponsorship?
