Hi all,
I have done my research on working VISAE and investors VISAE. I stumbled on the E-1 and E-2 treaty though I am not sure this might apply to me/my company.
Let me sketch our situation:
We are a software provider from Montreal, Canada and we would like to strengthen our presence in the U.S. market. I am the business development associate for the company though I am a Belgian national, working on a open work permit in Canada. Following the treaty visa, you have to work one year at the company (which I will be soon fulfill) and the home Country has to have a trade agreement with the U.S. Since the company is Canadian and I am Belgian I don't know how this can be resolved.
Do you have any suggestions how we should attack this? Or what are our options?
Thank you all for your suggestions!
