Sick of job and want to quit. Changing from E3 to B1/B2

Hi folks,

So I took a job that turned out to be horrendous. I am at cracking point and want to quit. Is it possible to go from an E3 to a B1/B2? I know that people have done it in the past, but I just want to know the likelihood of something like that being approved. My E3 is still well within status as I only began here 6.5 months ago.
