Hi All,
Desperately need suggestions on my wife's h4 to h1b change.
1. My h1b and wife's h4 extension was applied in march 2016
2. My wife also applied for h1b petition, her i797 approval notice came in October. However, middle name (part of given name) came as initial i.e. last name, first name and initial of husband's name and then dot. On passport its first name followed by husband's name as given name.
3. My h1b and her h4 approval notice came in November, and she is back on h4 status.
4. As per her emplyer's advice, we are going to india for stamping in December.
As there is middle name initial issue in her i 797 approval notice, i am not sure if we should get her h4 stamped first using dropbox before h1b appointment? Or should wait for result of h1b apointment and go for h4 only if h1b is not approved/stamped?
We should have sorted this out before booking tickets, but as the tickets were soaring high day by day, we booked them and need to go anyway.
