I am an E-2 Treaty Investor and would like to know the procedures to change status for permanent residency.
I know that after I have my i-140 approved, I shall file i-508 to wave my E-2 rights and then file i-485, right?
However, when I file i-508 am I waving the whole E-2 VISA, or just the rights associated with the VISA, like fiscal advantages?
The other point is:
What are exactly the rights that I have as an E2 that I am waving? Because if they are relating to fiscal area, in the two years I have been here I did not have any different treatment from my CPA regarding taxes - can someone please clarify what would these E2 Fiscal Rights be?
